Hey, there,

I'm new to this tribe, but decided to joing because I think that Wikimedia projects should include an instruction manual on how to bind their content into book form. I also think it's worthwhile to put out a primer on the art form in general, but I don't know so much about that.

To those ends, I started the Wikibook on bookbinding:

en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Bookbinding

Please contribute to this project, if you feel it's important. It's easy to join the Wikibooks project (easier than joining Tribe, by far). You can contribute anonymously if you want, but membership will help everyone on the project build trust in your work (and has some other benefits, too).

en.wikibooks.org/w/index.php

Many important sections are still missing, and it's in need of some free license (e.g., cc-by-sa, GFDL, etc.) images of books being bound, as well as descriptions of the process and tips on technique. To upload images or video, go to

commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Main_Page

and figure out the upload process. Feel free to write me a note if you have any questions, or if you want to contribute by email rather than using the websites.
